Eudora
Set-up For Windows 95/NT
- Click
here
to begin downloading Eudora. (Important Note: Remember
where your computer saves the program on your hard
drive. You will need to know that later.)
- Once the
program is copied onto your computer, click the "Start"
button.
- Select
"Settings", then "Control Panels".
- Double click
on "Add/Remove Programs" and then click
"Install".
- Click
"Next"
- The Computer
will look for anything in your Floppy Drive, then it will
look on your CD-Rom drive.
- Click
"Browse".
- Remembering
where you stored the file on your hard drive (From step
1) find the file "eul301.exe" and double click on
it.
- This will take
you through the install wizard. Answer the questions and
continue through the set up. When it asks you if you wish
to read the "Read Me" file, click "No".
- When the
installation is complete, click "Start", then click
"Programs".
- Find Euroda
Light and click on it.
- Usually,
Eudora will automatically bring up the configuration page
where you can put in your information. If it doesn't,
click on "Tools" then "Options".
- In POP Account
put your email address. (Your email address will be
username@eos.net. Don't forget to substitute your
username in the email address instead of the word
"username".)
- Put your real
name in the box that says "Real Name".
- For
"Connection Method" please select "Winsock".
- Click on the
icon called "Personal Info" on the left.
- Fill in the
"Return Address" box by typing in your email
address.
- Leave "Dial-up
Username" blank.
- Click on the
icon called "Hosts" on the left.
- Fill in "SMTP
Host" with "mail.eos.net"
- Leave
everything else alone.
- Congratulations!
Your finished. Log on and check your mail.
To Check your mail:
- Open Eudora.
- Click on "File."
- Click "Check Mail."
- If prompted for your password, enter it and press "OK."
