Company Profile

Exodus Software has been in operation since January 1, 1987. Our offices are located on Compton Road, just north of the city of Cincinnati. Our business focus is to provide our clients with custom Macintosh-based and/or Windows-based software solutions while continuing to support our commercial Macintosh software.

Our custom development expertise is focused in four areas: contract software development, single and multi-user database development, mainframe connectivity solutions and communications development including Electronic Mail and in-house Bulletin Board Services.

Our development environments for contract software development include Pascal, C++, C and Assembly, as well as Object Pascal and MacApp®. Multi-user relational database solutions are developed for our clients using 4th DIMENSION® and/or 4D Server®. Non-relational database development is provided using FileMaker Pro®. Mainframe connectivity development is provided using MitemView® in conjunction with HyperCard® to create intelligent, graphical user interfaces that simplify access to mini and mainframe host software without requiring any change to the host system. Communication solutions are developed using First Class® by SoftArc.

Our commercial software products include 'Retriever' which was released in April 1988, 'ExpressWrite' which was released at the 1989 January MacWorld Expo and 'Retriever II' which was released in August 1991. In January 1990 the publishing rights to 'ExpressWrite' were purchased by PowerUp! Software and the upgraded product is now being marketed under the name 'Letter Writer Plus'. Experience gained in the development of our commercial products provides us with a unique background when working on custom software development.

Exodus Software has been a Certified Apple Developer and a Registered ACI US Developer since 1987. Exodus is also a member of the Apple Solutions Professional Network, the Claris Solutions Alliance, the AGORA Referral Network and a MITEM Partner.
